I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. This means that I have trained as an Integrative Therapist which uses different approaches to help and support you. Together we can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours by examining the past, present and future. Reflecting on the past may clarify why things are difficult and this awareness may lighten the burden. The realisation may uncover hidden strengths which will enable you to do things slightly differently & face the future with a newfound confidence.
I live in North Devon and have done for 30 years with my family. I originally trained as a Veterinary Nurse but retrained as a therapist after having my family.
I provide a confidential space for you to voice your concerns and to listen to you without judgement or criticism. Available options are Walk and Talk sessions and I have an interest in using companion animals in sessions to enhance the therapy.
I am a member of the BACP which is a Counselling and Psychotherapy professional body and I work to their Ethical code of conduct. A requirement of the BACP www.bacp.co.uk is to have regular supervision. Supervision ensures that I am working competently and safely.
I have experience of working with adults of all ages and young people from 16 upwards.
I work with Anxiety, Abuse, Bereavement and Loss, Confidence and Self Esteem, Depression, Emotional difficulties, Identity issues, Life stages, Relationships, Stress.
I have a special interest in working with Medical professionals and Veterinary Surgeons.
